Emotional states are as infectious as a disease. You can die from some else's misery.
You may feel that you are helping the unhappy man but you are only precipitating your own disaster.
The unfortunate sometimes draw misfortune on themselves; they will also draw it on someone who associate with them.
Associate yourself with fortunate and happy people and you will see the difference.
